Hayley Giles aged 19 from Worcester begins her apprenticeship with Modus Creative from April this year.
Her future career has been kick-started by funding and support from The Worcestershire Ambassadors, an established group of 200 business professional and individuals who share in common a passion for the county of Worcestershire.
Hayley will join the team at Modus in the creative agency’s main office in Worcester where she will focus on building the digital and social media presence of the Worcestershire Ambassadors and other Modus clients. Modus Group’s CEO and Creative Director Guy Marson has recently become a member of the Worcestershire Ambassadors and Hayley will be fully trained as part of his Modus team.
Modus has a proven track record with apprentices, and has recently given full-time employment to three of the company’s apprentices.
Modus is a Worcester Ambassadors and a Chamber of Commerce award winner for work in CSR, a major part of which was about working with young people.
Vince Hopkins, Chair of the Worcestershire Ambassadors, comments on this: “This is a double whammy for the Ambassadors: we are delighted to welcome Guy into the membership and excited that the Modus team will be developing Hayley’s apprenticeship with us. Guy and his team already do significant work with young apprentices in the county. This is a really important element of the Worcestershire business community: to support and develop our local talent. Modus has successfully trained and developed and given employment to several talented local students, of which Hayley is the latest.”
Guy Marson adds: “The Ambassadors’ objective is to promote and enhance Worcestershire. This is a big part of my ethos, working with Worcestershire businesses both as clients, suppliers and partners. By developing apprentices, we believe we can help ultimately develop Worcestershire businesses and therefore the broader community.”
