The new fun run trend sweeping the world, Colour Run, is coming to Worcestershire to raise vital money for county charity, Sight Concern.

The 5km run will challenge participants to ‘go bright for sight and become a colour runner’.  You can run, jog, walk or dance and bring some colour into your life!  Starting off dressed in white, the experience will ensure everyone is fully covered in paint and smiles by the time they reach the finish line.  entry-header-bg

There will be two events held this year, with the first being held at Droitwich Lido Park on Saturday 4th July, linking into the Droitwich Summer Festival, and the second at Arrow Valley County Park Redditch on Sunday 6th September.

The event is aimed at people of all ages – walkers and runners – and is encouraging the local community to get involved for a small registration cost (£9 adults, £7 children, family of four £25) plus raising £15 in sponsorship.

Modus are delighted to be working with Sight Concern to Launch and promote this brilliant fun event. We will be branding, emailing designing and printing all sorts of material to get the message out there that this is a fun event and one which all the family can get involved with and that Sight Concern are a charity that do amazing work in the Worcestershire community. Modus MD Roger Marshall is a trustee of the Worcester based charity and Modus rebranded Sight Concern and have been working with them since 2007 both commercially and as part of the Modus CSR.

More About Sight Concern.

Many people are left wondering how they are going to cope with their sight loss, practically and emotionally. Sight Concern relies heavily on individual and local business support to ensure they can continue to help people who are blind or partially sighted to access expert support and advice, developing new skills and rebuilding confidence. Sight Concern will be recruiting sighted guides to enable as many people with sight loss to participate in the Colour Run, and become part of a local community, which offers understanding and respect.

Your sponsorship will help us bring health, happiness and creativity into Worcestershire with the Colour Run!  If you would like to be part of this experience, please contact Fiona Blake, Fundraising Manager to discuss on 01905 332902 or email her at Fiona.blake@sightconcern.co.uk.
